Help picking out a new camera?
Hey everyone, I’m curious if I might be able to get some help picking out a new camera. I dont know ..to much about them but i love taking picutures, and hopefully will be getting into a photography course in the near future.
I currently work with a Olympus FE-310, and im looking for an upgrade.
the next camera I’m looking for I would want possibly digital, both auto and manual focus, high resolution, panaramoic view.
I mostly take pictures of animals or still life …
I’m looking for a camera max. $600 for now.

The Canon XS is a great entry-level DSLR! I recently got into photography myself (still very much an amatuer) and I got myself a Canon XTi (an older but very similar DSLR).
Just checked out your dA. Beautiful pictures! I’m sure you’d love a DSLR. If you’re interested in taking close-up pictures of flowers, I would suggest a macro lens down the road. Canon’s got a 60mm and 100mm macro lenses (among many others), but just a suggestion.
Another suggestion would be a Canon 50mm 1.8. They’re Canon’s cheapest lens but it’s amazing image quality-wise for its’ price! Definitely something to check out.
